Position Overview

HVWC is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as the Team Manager for Animal Husbandry and Conservation. Key Responsibilities

Animal Husbandry for Conservation and Research

In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on management of Australian native threatened species, primarily mammals. You will work closely with the wildlife scientists to design, maintain, and enhance enclosures and infrastructure at HVWC. From ensuring proper nutrition and healthcare to implementing enrichment programs, your attention to detail and expertise in animal husbandry will contribute to the overall success of the center’s conservation and research efforts.

Team Leadership and Management

As the Team Manager, you will be at the helm of a high-performing team consisting of two permanent staff members and four or more casuals, students, and volunteers. Implementing a shared 7-day per week roster, you will ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow within the Husbandry Department.
